Event Details

Welcome to Copenhagen in late August 2019.

We are the proud local organizers of the closed meeting of SECEC in 2019. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Copenhagen, were we have booked the brand-new 4 star Hotel Scandic Kødbyen. The hotel is placed in the former meatpacking district of Copenhagen, which is now a hipster dine-out area with bars and good restaurants. Central Copenhagen, Tivoli and all downtown attractions of Copenhagen can be reached in walking distance, unless you want to try one of the free city bikes, situated at stations all over the city center.

We have chosen the dates 30/8 to 1/9 were weather in Copenhagen is often good, in order to give you a little “taster” of the Copenhagen spirit. Copenhagen was in 2018 voted by Lonely Planet as the most interesting major city to visit.

The access to Copenhagen is easy from all major European cities with direct flights to Copenhagen Airport Kastrup situated 10 km from the city center that can be reached by metro, train, bus or taxi.

We have a pre-meeting symposium on elbow surgery on Friday. The closed meeting starts Saturday, were we will host a symposium on Registry research, organized by Carlos Torrens and the registry committee of SECEC, with participation of the most know ledged people in Europe on the value of registry data in research on results of shoulder and elbow implants.

Furthermore we have organized interesting sessions on shoulder and elbow surgery, as well as the General Assembly will be held Saturday afternoon.

The social program contains a Copenhagen harbor cruise with views of the little mermaid, the parliament and other interesting city sights, followed by a dinner in restaurant Paafuglen in Tivoli Gardens.

We hope to see you in Copenhagen in 2019.
